2. Purpose of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when merchants use our Shopify app (the “App”).
The App helps you fetch shipping rates, create shipment labels, track shipments, and display finance summaries based on shipments/orders.
3. What data we collect
Depending on your use of the App and the permissions you grant, we may process:
- Shopify store and operational data provided by Shopify during authentication/installation and via Shopify APIs.
- Order/shipping/fulfillment information needed to provide shipping and tracking functionality.
- Recipient and delivery address data included in shipping/fulfillment flows where applicable.
- Shipvam API key configuration (stored in your Shopify store as a Shopify metafield).
- Finance and statistics data derived from order/shipment/payment-related information for reporting (e.g., totals, counts, relevant dates).
- Technical logs and security-related request metadata (e.g., timestamps and IP address for security and troubleshooting).
4. How we use the data
- Provide the App features (rates, labels/shipments, tracking, and finance summaries).
- Read the Shipvam API key stored in your Shopify metafield and send it in request headers to Shipvam endpoints.
- Compute and display the finance data requested by you for the selected date range.
- Maintain security, reliability, and integrity of the App and services.
5. Legal basis (Bulgaria/EU)
Where applicable, we process data based on performance of a contract/steps requested by you, legitimate interests (security and service operation), and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share information only to provide the App services, including:
- Shopify as required for authentication and data access via Shopify APIs.
- Shipvam third-party services to fetch rates, create shipments/labels, and retrieve tracking/related data.
- Service providers that support hosting/infrastructure/operations when applicable (as processors).
7. International transfers
If any service providers or systems process data outside Bulgaria/EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards where required by law.
8. Data retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide App functionality, secure and operate the service, and meet legal/reporting obligations. Retention periods may vary by data type and purpose.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect data against unauthorized access, accidental loss, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Your rights
Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and/or objection.

Where data is handled through Shopify, Shopify may also provide privacy tools as part of its platform features.
11. No analytics
We do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics services.
12. Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at suport@shipvam.com.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates when changes were made.
